Evidence/activity/anecdote: Children are natural learners. In my classroom success is celebrated and challenges are considered an opportunity to learn. Any chance to show our work is used. Students are given the opportunity to share work in a variety of ways. Work displayed, writing celebrations, reading feedback, student blogs, and many other ways, show that their work is valued and is of high quality, that we would share not only with our classmates, but also the outside world.
Impact on student’s learning:
Builds self esteem in students.
Enhances student satisfaction with the learning experience.
Student given the opportunity to become advocates of the own learning.
They develop better work habits, and attitudes towards their learning tasks.
Promotes a positive attitude toward subject matter.
